Override Flags lets administrators selectively pause one or more automated actions for an individual without interrupting the rest of that person’s lifecycle automation.

When to use it​

An employee uses a preferred name that is not present in the HR source. Without an exception, each synchronization can overwrite IT’s manual name update with the source value.

How it helps​

  • Excludes specific operations, including create, enable, disable, delete, group, name, organizational-unit, and general updates.
  • Allows a global exclusion when all automated processing must be paused for a user.
  • Supports an expiry date and note so exceptions remain visible and time-bound.

Outcome​

The intended exception remains in place while all unaffected automation continues normally, preserving data consistency and limiting manual rework.
