Run and monitor your workflow
Your first workflow - Stage 5 of 5
Create a job, validate a manual run, and decide when to enable a schedule.
Before you begin, complete Create and test a change.
Group the operation into a job
- In Output > Jobs, select Add, enter a job name, and select Add.
- Add an item in Job Configuration.
- Choose crud for the mapping operation and select your mapping.
- Set a threshold appropriate for your selected population.
- Save the job.
Review Create a job for job item settings and threshold behavior.
Configure a sync task
- In Scheduler > Overview, select Add.
- Choose sync, enter a name, and save.
- In Collect, add the systems that must be refreshed before the job runs.
- In Execute, add your job.
- Review the Stop on Error options and save.
Follow Create a sync task. Leave recurring scheduling unconfigured until you have validated a manual run.
Run and inspect the result
- Confirm the filter still selects only the approved population and review the expected changes.
- Follow Run a task manually.
- Review the latest task result and latest job result.
- Verify the resulting changes in the target system.
- Investigate unexpected changes or errors before repeating the run.
A manual sync task can execute all pending operations included in its jobs; it is not limited to the single record tested on the previous page.
Decide when to automate
- Confirm the manual result matches your intended behavior.
- Choose how often source changes should reach the target.
- Configure a scheduled run when the workflow is ready.
- Decide who will review results and respond to failures. Use events when you need notifications.
Workflow complete: You have a validated job and task, know where to find their results, and have an agreed schedule and monitoring owner.
