Configure Connection

Action1 guide

Create dedicated Action1 API credentials and use them to connect the Action1 system in NIM.

Create Action1 API credentials​

  1. Sign in to the Action1 Admin Console.

  2. Go to Configuration > API Credentials.

  3. Select + New.

  4. Enter a descriptive Name, such as NIM, then choose the required Role. The example uses Enterprise Admin.

  5. Select Proceed.

  6. Copy the generated Client ID and Client Secret.

Protect the client secret

Treat the client secret as a password. Store it only in an approved secure location and do not include it in tickets, email, or documentation.

Configure Action1 in NIM​

  1. Add or open the Action1 system in NIM.

  2. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret generated in Action1.

  3. Set Customer/Tenant ID to app.action1.com unless Tools4ever Support has instructed you to use a different value.

  4. Save the system configuration.

Default Customer/Tenant ID

The default Customer/Tenant ID is app.action1.com.

Validate the connection​

  1. Run a connection test or read operation from NIM.
  2. If the test fails, verify the Client ID, Client Secret, selected Action1 role, and Customer/Tenant ID.
