Import or export a system

Import a system​

Import a system that you previously exported, to restore or duplicate it.

  1. Go to Systems > Overview.
  2. Click Import.
  3. For Select File, select a .json file that you previously exported.
  4. Enter a value for the System Name.
  5. Click Import.
  6. The imported system is added to NIM and appears in the Configured Systems pane.
  7. Collect and load a system for this system.
Export a system​

Export a system to back it up to a JSON file.

To instead back up your entire NIM environment, see Repositories.

  1. Go to Systems > Overview.
  2. Click Export Configuration for the system.
  3. The .json backup file is downloaded in your browser.

Exports include a system's configuration, but not its its collected data.
